The International Journal of Business and Management (IJBM) invites scholars to submit original manuscripts that advance business and management scholarship. All submissions are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process and in accordance with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Before submitting, please read the Author Guidelines and ensure your manuscript complies with IJBM's formatting and ethical standards.

1. Submission Channels

2. Pre-Submission Checklist

  • The manuscript is original work and is not published, in press, or under review elsewhere.
  • ORCID iDs are provided for all authors.
  • A Conflict of Interest statement and a Data Availability statement are included.
  • The manuscript is submitted in Microsoft Word format (.doc / .docx).
  • English language and formatting comply with the Author Guidelines.

All submissions are screened for plagiarism using iThenticate. Manuscripts with excessive text similarity may be rejected without external review.

3. Manuscript Preparation Requirements

Submissions must satisfy the following scholarly standards. Full formatting details are available in the Author Guidelines:

  • Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, professional academic English.
  • Manuscript Types: Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Conceptual Articles, and Case Studies.
  • Structure: Original research articles should follow the IMRaD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).
  • Title: Concise and informative, no abbreviations.
  • Abstract: A structured or unstructured abstract of 150–250 words.
  • Keywords: 4–6 keywords, separated by commas.
  • Length: Manuscripts are typically 5,000–8,000 words (excluding references, tables, and figures).
  • References: In-text citations and the reference list must follow the APA 7th Edition style.
  • Tables & Figures: Numbered consecutively, cited in text, with self-explanatory captions.
  • Generative AI Disclosure: Authors must explicitly disclose any use of generative artificial intelligence tools in the Methods or Acknowledgements section. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
  • Data Availability: Authors should state where the data supporting their findings can be accessed or state that data are available on request.

4. Peer Review Process

IJBM operates a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and academic quality:

Step 1 — Initial Screening (Desk Review)

Each submission receives an initial editorial assessment for alignment with the journal's scope, academic quality, and formatting compliance. A mandatory plagiarism screening is performed using iThenticate. Manuscripts that fail this stage are rejected without external review.

Step 2 — Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are reviewed by independent experts with relevant academic expertise. Reviewer and author identities are strictly concealed. Each manuscript is typically reviewed by three experts (two external reviewers and one editorial board member).

Step 3 — Editorial Decision

The final publication decision — Accept, Minor/Major Revisions, or Reject — is made by the Editor based on reviewers' comments and editorial judgment.

Average time to first decision: Approximately 4–10 weeks from submission.

5. Article Processing Charge (APC)

  • Current APC: USD 300 per accepted article.
  • Submission Fee: None (free to submit).
  • Payment Timing: Charged only after a manuscript has been accepted following peer review.
  • What the APC Covers: Peer review administration, professional copyediting, XML/typesetting, DOI registration via Crossref, and long-term archiving (LOCKSS).

The APC does not influence editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on academic quality, originality, relevance, and methodological rigor.

The full APC policy and invoice procedures are available in our Open Access & APC Policy.

6. Publication Ethics

IJBM is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal follows the principles and recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and aligns its policies with the COPE Core Practices.

Author Responsibilities

  • Originality: Submit only unpublished work; plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited.
  • Authorship: List only those who have made a significant contribution; ghost or guest authorship is unacceptable.

  • Ethical Approval: Provide documentation of ethical review board approval for studies involving human or animal subjects.
  • Image Integrity: Ensure all images are unaltered and accurately represent the original data.
