1. Submission Channels

2. Pre-Submission Checklist
- ☑ Original work, not published or under review elsewhere.
- ☑ ORCID iDs provided for all authors.
- ☑ Conflict of Interest and Data Availability statements included.
- ☑ File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx).
All submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin. Manuscripts with excessive similarity may be rejected without review.
3. Peer Review Process (Summary)
We operate a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure impartiality. Our standard timeline is as follows:
- Initial Screening (within 3 working days): Editorial assessment for scope and formatting compliance.
- Peer Review (4-6 Weeks): Evaluation by at least two independent international experts.
- Final Decision (1 Week): Based on reviewer feedback, outcomes include Accept, Minor/Major Revision, or Reject.
- Total Time to First Decision: Approximately 6-8 weeks.
- Fast-Track Option: Available upon request for time-sensitive research (Approx. 3-4 weeks).
4. Article Processing Charge (APC)
- APC: USD $300
- This fee covers essential services including professional copyediting, XML conversion, DOI registration, long-term archiving (via CLOCKSS/Portico), and global distribution to indexing services.
- Fee Policy: No submission fees are charged. Fees are only payable upon acceptance after peer review.

5. Publication Ethics
Commitment to Integrity
IJBM is a proud member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and strictly adheres to its guidelines to maintain the highest standards of research integrity. As a COPE member, we are committed to transparency, accountability, and ethical publishing practices in all aspects of our editorial process.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must ensure their work complies with the following ethical standards:
- Originality: Submit only unpublished work; plagiarism in any form is strictly prohibited
- Authorship: List only those who have made significant contributions to the research; ghost or guest authorship is unacceptable
- Data Authenticity: Provide accurate, verifiable data; fabrication or falsification will result in rejection or retraction
- Conflict of Interest: Disclose all potential conflicts, including financial, institutional, or personal relationships
- Ethical Approval: Provide documentation of ethical review board approval for studies involving human or animal subjects
- Image Integrity: Ensure all images are unaltered and accurately represent the original data
Journal Policies
- Dual Submission: Manuscripts under consideration elsewhere will be immediately rejected
- Misconduct Handling: Suspected ethical violations are investigated following COPE flowcharts, with outcomes ranging from revision to retraction
- Correction Mechanism: Errors identified post-publication will be corrected through errata or retractions as appropriate
- Whistleblower Protection: We provide confidential channels for reporting ethical concerns without fear of retaliation

Enforcement
All submissions undergo automated plagiarism screening (using Turnitin) and editorial review for ethical compliance. Manuscripts failing to meet these standards will be rejected without review. Post-publication, we actively monitor for ethical issues and will take corrective action as needed to maintain the integrity of our scholarly record.
