Abstract
The role of environmental management within projects is playing a more and more essential part to the firms and public. Because of the benefit of implementing environmental management, different methods are being used to improveenvironmental management in projects especially in industry. However, the application of these methods leads to an increase in labor use, materials costs and other costs, which can limit their implementation. This paper provides the benefits and the barriers to the implementation of environmental management within projects, and some effect ways to improve it. It should help stakeholders to adjust their environmental management policy by efficient resources distribution within their firms.
