Technological Rules Based Business Models Analysis: A Design Science Approach

Abstract
This paper introduces a trend in management research recently, which is attempting to adopt a design scienceapproach when solving the relevance problem of academic management research. Building on the related
literature in design science we propose an exploratory framework based on technological rules for the research in
the field of business models and give a detail of the constructing factors for a business model. We then analyze
the fitness between a business model and its external environment using this research framework and get
conclusions.
