Abstract

The objectives of this study are to: 1) study the needs assessment for enhancing entrepreneurial characteristics among university students; 2) develop an on-demand training curriculum based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE); and 3) evaluate the results of the implemented on-demand training curriculum. The study employed an experimental research design, which was systematically divided into four phases: needs assessment, curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation.

The study in Phase 1 involved 17 key informants selected via purposive sampling, and data were collected using semi-structured interviews. During Phase 2, the curriculum was developed. In Phase 3, this curriculum was implemented with 56 undergraduate students participating in the Startup Thailand League 2026, selected through purposive sampling, and in Phase 4 curriculum evaluation, outcomes were measured using a 40-item post-test covering the K-S-E-C (Knowledge, Skills, Ethics, and Characters) domains, alongside a questionnaire assessing satisfaction with the on-demand curriculum.

The results indicated a high demand for practical skills delivered via 10-15 minute on-demand short learning modules. The developed curriculum, titled 'The Next Gen Founders', comprised four episodes aligned with the OBE framework. The implementation results showed that 100% of the participants passed the 70% proficiency threshold, achieving an average post-test score of 38.45/40 (96.12%). Overall satisfaction was at the highest level (x ̅= 4.83, SD = 0.40). The integration of OBE principles into the on-demand format proved highly effective in fostering essential entrepreneurial traits.
