About Journal

Mechanical Engineering Research (MER) is an international, double‑anonymized peer‑reviewed, open‑access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes original research articles, applied studies, and educational articles in the fields of mechanical engineering.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.

Focus and Scope

Mechanical Engineering Research publishes original, unpublished manuscripts in mechanical engineering. Submissions should present sound scientific, technological, applied, or educational contributions relevant to mechanical components, manufacturing processes, system performance, reliability, and related mechanical systems.

Topics within the journal's scope include:

  • Solid mechanics and structural analysis
  • Fluid mechanics and thermal engineering
  • Mechanical design, machine elements and tribology
  • Manufacturing processes, production technology and material processing
  • Dynamics, vibration and noise control of mechanical systems
  • Robotics, mechatronics and intelligent mechanical systems
  • Energy machinery, power equipment and thermal‑energy conversion
  • New materials for mechanical engineering and material surface modification
  • Condition monitoring, fault diagnosis and equipment reliability
  • Computer‑aided design, simulation and numerical analysis methods
  • Testing technology, measurement and quality control for mechanical products
  • Mechanical‑related standards, regulations and industrial policy
  • Industrial application, production economy and engineering management closely related to mechanical engineering
  • Engineering history and case studies clearly linked to mechanical design, manufacturing, equipment performance or mechanical‑system innovation

The journal also considers concise reviews, hypothesis papers, and educational articles when they fall within the above areas.
