The Study of the Innovation Learning Management Model of Lao Vieng Community Local Wisdom to Enhance the Community Potential in Nakhon Nayok Province

Abstract

This research aimed to develop and evaluate an innovative learning management model based on the local wisdom of the Lao Vieng community in Nakhon Nayok Province, to enhance community potential. The objectives were to 1) study the basic information on learning management innovations for local wisdom in the Lao Vieng community, 2) develop an innovative learning management model to enhance community potential in Nakhon Nayok province, 3) evaluate the feasibility and suitability of the innovative learning management model for local wisdom to enhance community potential in Nakhon Nayok province, and 4) explore the results from implementing the innovative learning management model for local wisdom to enhance community potential in Nakhon Nayok province. The study employed a research and development (R&D) approach, involving key informants such as 8 local leaders, 5 community experts, and 8 relevant stakeholders, totaling 21 persons from 21 sub-districts in Muang and Pakphli Districts. The target group was the focus of this study. Key findings revealed that 1) basic information of Lao Vieng traditions—such as the rice-thousand-ball procession, Tung decoration, and Sou Khwan Khao ceremony—form vital cultural identities, and 2) a developed innovative learning management model was designed, comprising five elements: work-based learning, learning communities, learning innovations, sustainable development, and community potential enhancement, 3) the feasibility and suitability of the innovative learning management model for local wisdom were very high, and 4) the overall results from implementing the innovative learning management model for local wisdom to enhance community potential in Nakhon Nayok province were very positive for all components. The model successfully promoted local wisdom learning and supported sustainable development by enhancing the capacity of both individuals and communities.
