About Journal
Earth Science Research (ESR) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes original research articles, applied studies, and educational articles in the fields of earth sciences.
Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.
Focus and Scope
Earth Science Research publishes original, unpublished manuscripts in earth sciences. Submissions should present sound scientific, technological, applied, or educational contributions relevant to earth materials, geological processes, environmental change, natural hazards, resource management, and related earth systems.
Topics within the journal's scope include:
- Mineralogy, petrology, geochemistry and geochronology
- Sedimentology, stratigraphy and palaeontology
- Tectonics, geophysics and crustal evolution
- Geomorphology, surface processes and quaternary science
- Hydrology, hydrogeology and water resource systems
- Soil formation, soil geography and soil environmental research
- Natural hazards: earthquakes, volcanic activity, landslides and floods
- Climate change, palaeoclimate and earth system modelling
- Exploration and sustainable utilization of mineral, energy and groundwater resources
- Environmental geology, geological engineering and land use management
- Remote sensing, GIS and geophysical exploration techniques
- Geological policies, geoeducation and public geoscience outreach
The journal also considers concise reviews, hypothesis papers, and educational articles when they fall within the above areas.
