Abstract
The purpose of this research was to determine the degree to which English instructors were prepared to effectively incorporate artificial intelligence (AI) into their classes. The research included a descriptive-analytical approach and a questionnaire to evaluate teachers' ability in using AI for English instruction. The study sample included 102 secondary school English teachers, chosen by a random selection technique. The results demonstrate that the instructors have advanced cognitive abilities, indicating a strong comprehension of the principles, ideas, and ethics of artificial intelligence. The results indicated a substantial level of practical capabilities, but lower than cognitive competencies, suggesting that teachers may use various applications and technology related to artificial intelligence. The disparity between cognitive and practical capabilities illustrates the fundamental difficulties related to the implementation of artificial intelligence. Consequently, the research advocated for the creation of several training programs designed to enhance the capabilities of English language instructors in using artificial intelligence systems.
