Abstract

The development and enhancement of the competitiveness of agricultural products is a crucial factor in driving economic growth in Vietnam. This study focuses on exploring educational pathways and workforce skill development in the agricultural sector to enhance the competitiveness of Vietnam’s agricultural products under the RCEP framework. This research uses a mixed-method approach, combining both qualitative and quantitative methods. In the qualitative component, interviews were conducted with key stakeholders in the agricultural export sector, such as industry experts, business owners, policymakers, and educators. In the quantitative component, a questionnaire was used to collect data from 150 agricultural export firms regarding the adoption of educational programs and training initiatives, and their impact on competitiveness. The findings show that educational pathways significantly influence workforce skill development, which directly and indirectly impacts the competitiveness of agricultural products. The study demonstrates that investment in education and training plays a positive role in enhancing skills and competitiveness in the global market, particularly within the RCEP framework, which supports the development of agricultural products and increases access to global markets.
