Abstract

The experiential design thinking learning model via metaverse, or EDTL Model via Metaverse, is a research tool fabricated from the concepts of experiential learning combined with design thinking, which is intended mainly to equip learners with bodies of knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for specialized careers. Thereby, it is believed that this learning model enables learners to learn and practice through the real experiences, which is considered a kind of learning management appropriate for learners who want to learn with design thinking and meanwhile obtain bodies of knowledge from the real workplaces. In addition, learners are able to learn the contents and use different tools provided in this model with the aid of metaverse technology. The objective of this study is to develop an EDTL Model via Metaverse for use as a guideline for further developing other EDTL systems via metaverse that can enhance both teamwork skills and problem-solving skills. The EDTL Model via Metaverse developed herein has already been evaluated for its suitability by the experts from various educational institutions. It can be confirmed from the results of this study that the suitability of the EDTL Model via Metaverse is at the highest level. To illustrate, the results suggest that the EDTL Model via Metaverse can be employed as a guideline to further develop the experiential design thinking learning systems via metaverse that are capable of improving teamwork skills and problem-solving skills.
