Developed from key insights from related studies, it outlines potential practice in questionnaire design, item development and the importance of validity and reliability. The article proposes a set of guidelines, referred to as the 6Ps: 1) performing a comprehensive literature review, 2) prioritizing clarity and simplicity in question design, 3) providing for cultural sensitivity, 4) posing a balance between question types, 5) piloting tests to ensure validity and reliability, and 6) protecting participants through ethical considerations.
