Abstract
This study demonstrated a novel procedure for assessing the significance of common method bias (CMB) using SEM. It appears that CMB has a marked effect on the reliability of the measurement models. A new procedure using covariate-based reliability was proposed for assessing the effects of CMB on the reliability of a model. Further SEM analysis using marker variable procedure supports the presence of CMB in this study. This seems to be an interesting area to be explored in further research.
