Abstract

Chinese educator Mr. Chen once said, “Anything that children can do on their own should be done by them. If children develop bad habits, they will suffer from them throughout their lives.” This is especially true for children with disabilities. However, early life skills training for children with intellectual disabilities is more challenging, due to factors such as their low adaptability, weak learning abilities, and parents' tendency to over-assist. As a result, children with intellectual disabilities often have poor self-care skills and exhibit strong dependence. Therefore, it is crucial to improve early life skills for preschool children with intellectual disabilities, considering their specific characteristics and current situation.
