About Journal

International Journal of Statistics and Probability is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes original research articles, review papers, and scholarly contributions in the fields of statistics and probability.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.

Focus and Scope

International Journal of Statistics and Probability publishes original research and review articles on probability theory, statistical theory, methodology, and computation. Topics include probability and stochastic processes; mathematical statistics; statistical inference; estimation and hypothesis testing; Bayesian and frequentist methods; parametric, nonparametric, and semiparametric methods; multivariate analysis; time series and spatial statistics; experimental design; survey sampling; computational statistics; statistical learning; reliability and quality control. Applications are welcome when they advance statistical or probabilistic methodology. Every manuscript must make a substantive contribution. Methodological papers should establish theoretical properties or justification; computational work must provide reproducible algorithms and rigorous evaluation. Applied papers must extend or critically assess statistical methods beyond routine analysis. Work involving machine learning or bioinformatics is eligible only when statistical inference, uncertainty quantification, or probabilistic modeling is central. Purely physical statistical mechanics, algorithm comparisons without statistical innovation, software applications, and descriptive reports are outside scope.
