Abstract
Bismuth (III) triflate was found to be effective Lewis acid catalyst for direct alkylative Passerini reaction of
aldehydes, isocyanides, and aliphatic alcohols. In the present reaction, α-unsaturated and aromatic aldehydes used as
substrates produced the corresponding α-alkoxy amide products in good yield.
