Abstract
Effect of temperature, roughness and washer shape on 254 SMO alloy was applied to study the susceptibility of alloy's crevice corrosion. XPS measurements have been carried out to detect and define the products which formed on the surface of 254 SMO in 22% NaCl at 30oC at applied potential 600 mVSCE. The formation of Fe, Cr and Mo compounds which play a great role to protect the alloy was found.
