Abstract
Tess of the d’Urbervilles, the masterpiece of British famous critical realistic writer Thomas Hardy, describes the misfortune of a poor peasant girl Tess, the cause of which has always been the concern of people. This paper will practically explore Tess’s tragic fate as the result of industrialization and patriarchal society, which will help the reader to understand Hardy’s Tess of d’Urbervilles from a new angle.- Full Text: PDF
