About Journal

Asian Social Science (ASS) is an international, double-anonymized peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Canadian Center of Science and Education. The journal publishes high quality reviews and research articles that focus on social science, especially in Asian area.

Authors are encouraged to submit complete, original, unpublished manuscripts that are not under review by any other journal. All published articles are freely available online.


Focus and Scope

Asian Social Science publishes rigorous empirical, comparative, theoretical, and review research on social science in Asia. Its scope encompasses sociology, economics, political science,  law,  psychology, anthropology, education, cultural studies, and history. 

Interdisciplinary submissions in humanities, management,  or business must make their main contribution to social structure, behavior, culture, governance, development, organizations, or welfare. 

Studies from East, Southeast, South, Central, West, and North Asia are welcome. Cross-country and cross-regional comparisons are encouraged, while well-designed single-country studies are eligible when they yield a clearly stated contribution to understanding Asian societies.
