On Some Rhetoric Representations of Cultural Frames in Literary Discourse
- Aysel Mammedbeyli
Abstract
The paper aims to explore some rhetoric representations of cultural frames in the English literary discourse. Forthis purpose, we analyze hyperbole and meiosis in English literary texts (approximately 500 pages) using
Pragglejazz method for identifying metaphorically used word in this course introduced by Pragglejazz group
(Praglejazz, 2007) and further developed by J. Steen (Steen, 2010). Such analyzes can shed a light on the world
of thoughts, mythic world of the English speaking people.
