In this paper we report a case study indicating how important it is to capture real-time data and present it effectively to the management for better decision-making and achieving decision agility. A GIS-based system or platform is presented, which is able to integrate data from various sources and present required data in real-time fashion to assist decision-making process. In combination with GIS techniques the data can be presented vividly that enables the user to understand the contents and trends of the data more effectively. With real-time data, KPI reports, and analytical functionality provided by the platform the management is able to make more reasonable business decisions to accommodate the challenging and demands from the market, and execute the decisions efficiently.- Full Text: PDF
