Sustainable Land Use Evaluation in Wanzhou District

Abstract


The use of Wanzhou District Chongqing City Yearbook in 2001-2008 and other relevant information, based on the present strategic situation of Wanzhou District Chongqing city, the paper constructs the evaluation index system for land sustainable utilization and sets up the comprehensive evaluation model using linear weighting technology to evaluate the land sustainable utilization state during 2001--2008 of Wanzhou District Chongqing city. The result showed that the total level of land sustainable utilization was at basic sustainable stage from 2001 to 2008, the level of economic viability feasibility and social acceptability were the highest, the ecology and civilization were at second place, and then the productivity level of resource was the lowest and decreasing year by year. According to the results, many suggestions such as control population growth and environmental pollution should be put forward strictly in order to safeguard the land ecological environment.
